Strathcona County RCMP requesting the public’s assistance in theft investigation

 

Strathcona County, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP requests the public’s assistance in identifying a male involved in the theft of a purse.

 

On Feb. 13, 2022 at 3:20 p.m., Strathcona County RCMP received a report that a purse was stolen from a vehicle while parked at the Emerald Hills Walmart in Sherwood Park, Alta. The victim placed her purse on the front passenger seat prior to loading her groceries into the vehicle. After loading her groceries, she noticed her purse was missing. She immediately called her banking institute and was advised her bank card had been used to purchase gift cards at two separate convenience stores in Sherwood Park.

 

Strathcona County RCMP want to remind residents to not leave a purse or wallet in an unlocked vehicle or shopping cart while loading groceries.
