Strathcona County RCMP on scene of a two vehicle collision on Highway 21 – update

 

Strathcona County, Alta. – On March 2, 2021 at 7:05 a.m., Strathcona County RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 21 and Township Road 510 in Sherwood Park, Alta.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a semi-tractor was travelling southbound on Highway 21 when it collided with a truck travelling eastbound on Township Road 510.

The 32-year-old male driver of the truck from Beaumont, Alta. was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male driver of the semi-tractor was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Strathcona County RCMP and a RCMP Collision Analyst remained on scene for several hours and the investigation continues.

No charges will be laid and no further updates are anticipated. The name of the deceased will not be released.
