Strathcona County RCMP seek public assistance in identifying vehicle

 

Sherwood Park, Alta. - Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle involved in a flight from police investigation.

 

On Feb. 6, 2022 at 1:34 a.m., RCMP observed a vehicle parked on the Sherwood Drive and Highway 16 overpass in Sherwood Park, Alta. Police checks determined the plate on the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Edmonton, Alta. in Sept. 2020.

 

Police initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed. Patrols were made but police were unable to locate the vehicle.

 

The vehicle is a newer white Chevrolet Impala or Cruze with Alberta license plate CGM2624 and has a white logo/symbol on the driver’s side passenger window.

 

Police believe the same vehicle was also involved in two additional flight from police investigations from May 2021.
