Strathcona County RCMP Arrest Male For Robbery

Sherwood Park, Alta. – On Sept. 20, 2019, at approximately 6:40 p.m. Strathcona County RCMP responded to an robbery outside the Sherwood Park Mall.

A suspect approached a male walking outside the mall and requested to use his phone. The male allowed the suspect to use the phone but then refused to return it. A confrontation occurred and the suspect took a machete out of his back pack. The male immediately ran into the nearest store and called police.

A short time later police located the suspect and the phone was retrieved. No one was injured during the incident.

Nathan Sheldon Flach (20) has been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

Flach was released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Oct. 9, 2019.
